Living
Life on Life’s Terms – The Core of Recovery is the title of the
Friday night presentation, and will use material from Earnie’s book,
Stage II Recovery: Life Beyond Addiction. The focus will be on spiritual
and personal growth after early recovery work in AA/NA/Al-Anon has
stabilized the primary addiction. He will discuss the action steps
necessary for breaking old patterns of addictive behavior and the
“stinking thinking” that often keep individuals from moving forward
and changing in positive ways. If you are feeling stuck in your
recovery, frustrated with “living life on life’s terms”, or want to
deepen your working the steps, this workshop will
help.
Walking The Walk - Building and Maintaining Healthy
Relationships is
the title of the Saturday presentation, and Earnie will use
material from his book, Stage II Relationships: Love Beyond
Addiction. He will cover the steps necessary
to achieve a trusting and loving relationship once a primary
addiction has been arrested.
He will use a self- evaluation questionnaire to help
participants assess their individual capability of functioning in a
healthy relationship.
Earnie will help participants develop and improve on
relationship skills such as trust, intimacy, fears of rejection and
abandonment, control and problem solving.
These two personal recovery
workshops are designed primarily for AA’s and NA’s in later
recovery, but treatment professionals may also attend free of
charge. This
training is provided under NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance
Abuse Services (OASAS) Education and Training Provider Certificate
Number 0211. Each
workshop has been approved for three CEU hours.
Please
fill out and mail in the registration form. As always, these workshops
are free of charge. Earnie Larsen’s books and audio/video tapes will
be for sale at both workshops. |
